Munnar hill station getaway
Kochi – Munnar
- Waterfall stops on the drive up
- Eravikulam National Park
- Tea Museum and tea tasting
Rolling tea estates, misty viewpoints and cool air at 1,600 metres. Munnar is the first hill stop on most Kerala itineraries, and the one guests photograph the most.

Munnar sits where three mountain streams meet in the Western Ghats. The town grew around British tea estates in the 1880s, and tea still covers almost every slope you see on the drive up from Kochi.
Two nights lets you see the main sights without rushing: Eravikulam National Park for the Nilgiri tahr, the tea museum, Mattupetty Dam and Echo Point on one side of town, and Top Station on the Tamil Nadu border if the sky is clear.
Nearest airport is Kochi (COK), 110 km. Nearest railhead is Aluva, 110 km. The drive climbs through Kothamangalam and Adimali with photo stops at the waterfalls.
Grassland home of the endangered Nilgiri tahr. Usually closed for a few weeks in February–March during the calving season.
See how tea is withered, rolled and fermented at the KDHP museum, with a tasting at the end.
A lake drive with speedboat rides, dairy farm views and the valley known for its echo.
The highest viewpoint on the Munnar–Kodaikanal road, looking over the plains of Tamil Nadu.
Roadside falls on the Kochi–Munnar highway, at their fullest after the monsoon.
An early-morning jeep ride to one of the world's highest tea estates. Book a day ahead.

Two nights covers the main sights. Stay three if you want Kolukkumalai sunrise, trekking or a slower pace.
Days are mild (18–25°C) most of the year. December and January nights can drop to 5–10°C, so pack a warm layer.
The park closes for a few weeks each year, usually February to March, for the Nilgiri tahr calving season. Dates are announced by the forest department.
Send your travel dates and number of guests. A planner from our Kochi office replies with a day-by-day itinerary and a fixed price, usually the same day.
